Artwork by Joan Potter

Joan Potter

A figurative and still life painter, Joan Potter studied at the Art`s Student`s League in New York under the tutelage of instructors David Leffel and the late Robert Phillip. Having spent several years living in Asia, Joan Potter's oil paintings have a Zen-like quality in their unique spatial arrangement and a sense of drama created by her use of direct light. Joan Potter is listed in `Who`s Who in American Art` and has been featured in articles in major art publications such as `Focus` and `U. S. Art`. Her numerous awards include the Knickerbocker Membership Award and the Claude Parsons Memorial Award.
